When You Need Support
The Mental Health Association of East Tennessee is dedicated to the promotion of mental health awareness, wellness and recovery in our communities. Simply stated, our mission is to help others get help and support them in their journeys.
But mental health recovery is not easy. It is not straightforward and it is not always fun. However, it’s a journey worth taking and having someone on your team can make all the difference. Unfortunately, our team isn’t always made up of friends and family. Maybe it’s because we’re not ready to share that part of ourselves, or maybe it’s because they’re uncomfortable talking about mental health. That’s where MHAET can step in.
At MHAET, we live and breathe mental wellness and recovery. Our policies emphasize grace and flexibility. We recognize that our team are people outside of work. They have families, they have responsibilities, they have stressors, they have losses, AND they even have mental health conditions. We support each other as people – not just employees. And the program that most exemplifies the support everyone needs for their recovery is the Peer Recovery Call Center.
For no cost, Peer Support Specialists, persons who are certified in mental and behavioral issues and continue in their own recovery journeys can talk with you, provide information, and help you remember that you’re not alone. Whether you’re the one that’s struggling or you’re their friend or family member, everyone deserves support.
Give us a call at 865-584-9125 or e-mail us info@mhaet.com. Someone is available to give you the help you need Monday through Friday until 5:00 PM.
